Matthew Dailey is a New York City based director and choreographer, specializing in cutting edge immersive and variety based performances. Matthew is currently the Associate Director at the iconic nightclub-cabaret The Box where he has mounted an original show every week of the year since 2013. Matthew has conceived and directed shows at the Box's New York and London venues and in pop up locations around the world.
Other notable achievements include directing and choreographing high-profile shows and events for Refinery 29 (New Fronts 2016, 2017 and 2018), Barney's New York, Broadway Cares, London Fashion Week, Dixon Place Theater, Joe’s Pub, Fashion Night Out, The Highline Ballroom and The Out NYC. Matthew has collaborated with such luminaries as Baz Luhrmann, Will.i.am, Gabourey Sidebe, Amanda Lepore, Josh Young, The Ones, Joey Arias, Nomi Ruiz and Justin Vivian Bond.
From 2008 through 2012 he was the in-house production manager and choreographer for the independent record label Peace Bisquit Music where he specialized in Artist Management, A&R, Web Management, Brand Management and Social Media Marketing.
As a performer Matthew was a company member of Dusan Tynek Dance Theater (declared “One of the top 5 NYC dance highlights of the year” by the New York Times), Rindfliesch, Palissimo and the Daisy Spurs. Originally from Toronto Canada and a graduate of Ryerson University (BFA Dance), George Brown Theatre School (3 year Classical Acting Conservatory) and Unionville High School of the Performing Arts (Theater Division), Matthew has taught dance and theater throughout The United States, Russia and Canada.
